How to Qualify for Medical Marijuana in Arkansas

To qualify for a registry card to legally purchase medical marijuana in Arkansas, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • • Be 18 years of age or older or be a minor patient with a parent/guardian who applies as a caregiver.

  • • Be diagnosed with a qualifying medical condition 
  •  
  • • Have the official physician written certification form. You will receive this after your evaluation from The Healing Clinics.
  •  
  • • Be an Arkansas resident with proof of residency. (AR Driver’s License or AR State ID card).
  •  
  • • State law prohibits members of the Arkansas National Guard and the United States Military from obtaining a registry ID card.

• Glaucoma

• Positive status for human immunodeficiency virus/ acquired immune deficiency syndrome

• Hepatitis C

• Severe and persistent muscle spasms, including, without limitation, those characteristic of multiple sclerosis

How to request other conditions be added to the list

A petition to add a new qualifying medical condition can be submitted. Petition applications are reviewed and forwarded for a hearing.  The department shall approve or deny a petition within one hundred (120) days of its submission. View petition information.
