Easter and 420 on the Same Day! What are the Odds?
It won’t be the first time it’s ever happened, and hopefully won’t be the last. This Sunday, April 20th, 2025, will be Easter Sunday and 4/20 on the same day. Easter Sunday and 4/20 have coincided several times before. The last time Easter fell on 4/20 was in 2014. This year will be the 13th time Easter has taken place on April 20 since 1630, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Celebrating Easter and 4/20
Blending the spiritual side of Easter with the reflective and expansive qualities of 4/20 can be really meaningful. Here are some elevated, heart-centered ideas for a more soulful celebration:
Chill and Wholesome Vibes (Adults only!):
Wake and Bake… and Brunch – Start with a mellow morning, then segue into an Easter brunch with your favorite baked goods (pun intended).
Stoner Egg Hunt – Hide Easter eggs with fun surprises inside—maybe some mini edibles, rolling papers, or funny notes alongside the usual candy.
Spring Picnic Sesh – Celebrate spring with a cannabis-friendly picnic in nature, complete with pastel blankets and some Easter-themed snacks.
Decorate Eggs with Trippy Art – Get artsy while high and design eggs with psychedelic colors and patterns.
Bake Easter Edibles – Infuse some classic Easter treats like chocolate eggs or carrot cake with a little green magic.
Stoner Bunny Costume – For the bold, dress up as a chill version of the Easter Bunny—bunny ears, tie-dye, and a laid-back attitude.
Respect Both Vibes (Family Friendly):
If Easter holds a deeper spiritual meaning for you or your community, you can:
Celebrate with Respect – Have a reflective or spiritual morning for Easter, and keep the cannabis part low-key and later in the day.
Offer Gratitude – Whether faith-based or just being thankful for renewal and good vibes, a moment of mindfulness fits both holidays.
